Decision no. (4) (2006) with regard to the obligation of employers in the Private Sector to transfer employees’ salaries to banks

The Minister of Labour,
After Perusal of Decree no. (23) (1976), with Regard to the Issuance of Labour Act for the Private Sector and amendments thereto,
And the Decision of the Cabinet no. 50 -1868 on the meeting convened on 29th January 2006,
Decided the following:-
Article (1)
It is obligatory for any employer to transfer regularly the salaries of the employees working in his establishment to the branch of a recognized bank, as chosen by such employees.
Article (2)
The under - secretary of the Ministry of Labour shall implement this Act, which shall come into force on the second day, consecutive to the publication in the gazette.
