Work Visas and Residence Permits Termination
An Employer can apply for the cancellation of the issued Work visa and the Accompanying Dependents Residence Permits, where the foreign worker must then leave the country, within 30 days.
Requirements:
- Work Visa and Accompanying Residence Permits must be valid.
- The Employer Must not have previously notified the LMRA regarding the foreign worker absent work, thereby in violation of the Permit’s conditions (Runaway Notification).
- If the work pemit ended, the employer or authorized person must review to the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence (GDNPR) to complete the procedure for cancellation of work permit.
Time taken to approve the Request:
The LMRA will be deciding on the Cancellation of Permits within three working days from the time of Requesting and upon the completion of all-necessary information and documents.
