Temporary work visas
The employer may apply for temporary Work visas for foreign workers who will be required temporarly upon for 6 months.
Required documents:
Please refer to the documents required to request a new work permit. (New Work Permit).
Fulfill Time taken to decide on the Application:
LMRA will take a decision on the application within 10 business days from the date of fulfillment of all the necessary and correct information, documents and conditions.
Notice:
With the regard to Minister of Interior desicion number (121) 2007, it is not allowed to issue "Residence Permit for family members (dependents) of a foriegn worker holding a temporary work visa.
Temporary Work visa Renewal:
The Employer may renew the temporary Work visa only once for another six months' period. This can be done three months prior to the date of expiry of the Permit.
Required Documents:
- Complete the specific form for this purpose, or file electronically via LMRA’s website.
- Present the identity of the authorized applicant (must be a Bahraini authorized person or the foreign employer himself). Any applicant must be registered in the system as an authorized or Responsible person with authority on the respective CR or Unit.
Other requirements:
- The employee Must be in Bahrain at the time of submitting the renewal application.
Time taken to decide on the Application:
LMRA will take a desicion on the application immediately after the fulfillment of all the necessary and correct information, documents and conditions. The renewed visa would be printed after the renewal fees has been paid.
